[Check-In / Check-Out]
Check-in is 2:00PM, and Check-out is 11:00AM.
Early Check-In/ Late Check-Out Requests:
We are unable to guarantee any early check-ins or late check-outs, but will try our best to accommodate adjusted check-in/check-out times. It is very important that all guests check out and vacate the room by 11:00AM. Failure to do so prevents Scott Lake Resort housekeeping staff from being able to access the room to service it for the next guest, and causes us to lose our cleaning appointment. If for any reason you are running late, please send us a message ASAP to minimize the chance of incurring a late check-out fine. Otherwise, failure to check out by 11:00AM will result in a penalty of $105 (weekday), $125 (weekend day), or the entire amount of the incoming guest’s reservation (whichever is greater), to cover the costs of cleaning services, or the cost of the next guest’s reservation, should the late departure cause the room to not be ready for the next guest by 2:00PM. We have never had to impose such a fine – please just communicate with us! All approvals for early check-in and late check-out must be given by Scott Lake Resort to the guest in writing, via email, to be considered approved and valid. Special arrangements for early check-in and late check-out will never be approved through outside communication.
Unless permission has been guaranteed in writing & in advance via email, guests who arrive earlier than 2:00PM EST should *not* check in early – doing so may result in walking in on other guests or entering the room before it has been cleaned.
Reservations 14 nights or longer require a mid-stay cleaning at $50, for every 7-night increment (14 nights = 1 mid-stay cleaning, 28 nights = 2 mid-stay cleanings, etc.).
Cancellation Policy
- To receive a full refund of deposit, guests must cancel within 3 weeks of booking.
- If reservation is canceled within three weeks of the booking, the guests will forfeit their deposit.
- If reservation is canceled within one week of the booking, the guests will forfeit their whole payment.
No Smoking / No Pets:
This room is a Pet Free & smoke-free/cannabis-free (including edibles / drinkables).
- By booking this unit, guests agree to the following smoking/cannabis fines:(1) A minimum base fine of $500 (for smoke extraction, odor extraction, and professional carpet cleaning) and (2) any additional cost(s) for removal of smoke odor from the curtains/furniture (3) replacing any items that have been damaged due to cigarette burns.
- If cannabis is stored in the room, the guest agrees to provide an airtight container to ensure that odors do not penetrate fabrics in the room.
- By booking this unit, guests agree to the following Pet Related fines: (1) $300 for upholstery and professional carpet cleaning to cover the cost of removing hair and allergens for the next guest, (2) replacement cost for any items that have been damaged by the pet.
Service Animals/Pets:
All service animals need to be immunized against rabies and other diseases common to that type of animal. All vaccinations must be current. Service animals must be in good health. Scott Lake Resort MUST receive Service Animal documentation prior to arrival.
Reasonable behavior is expected from Service and Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) while on Scott Lake Resort property. Scott Lake Resort will ask a guest to remove a service animal if:
- The animal is not house broken
- The animal is disruptive to other guests,
- Guest/Owner of Pet is expected to clean and dispose of all animal waste in resort dumpster
Parking:
With this reservation, we are happy to provide complimentary Self-Parking for 1 vehicle. If additional parking is needed, please message us through email prior to arrival. We will provide parking instructions.
If parking lot is full, please message Scott Lake Resort for instructions on where to park. DO NOT park on grass, as septic fields are buried underneath.
Safety:
Guests should never leave any valuables in their vehicles when utilizing Self-Parking. Guests agree to not hold Scott Lake Resort liable for any inconveniences, losses, or damages that arise from utilizing the Self-Parking.
All items left in the room will be removed by housekeeping staff. There is no guaranteed period in which ‘lost and found’ items are kept.
By booking this unit, guests agree to refrain from bringing any valuables to the unit, and to double & triple check the room prior to check-out to ensure nothing is accidentally left behind.
Guests agree not to hold Scott Lake Resort liable for any items that are accidentally left behind.
Items left in public areas of Scott Lake Resort are completely outside of the Scott Lake Resort’s control.
Other Safety:
No Candles / No Fire
For safety reasons, guests are not allowed to bring candles, birthday candles, lighters, matches, or any items that are intended for burning or to burn objects, etc. into unit. The use of these items within this unit is strictly prohibited, for safety reasons. There are absolutely no exceptions to this Unit Rule.
No Color-Staining Items:
Guests are not allowed to bring color-staining items into the room, including but not limited to permanent markers (any colors), colored bath bombs (only completely colorless bath bombs are allowed), bleach, clothing dyes (any color), hair dye (any color), colored spices (curry powder, turmeric, etc.)
Entry / Exit into Unit:
Unit is subject to entry by Scott Lake Resort staff or outside maintenance vendors, to perform services and improvements as needed, during a guest’s stay. All guests agree to report any issues encountered with the room directly through Scott Lake Resort email, and not to any other groups (e.g. building staff, housekeeping, or third party vendors). Doing so may delay or completely compromise Scott Lake Resort’s ability to resolve the matter. While all personnel will commit to knocking prior to entry, guests acknowledge and understand that by booking this unit, this Unit Rule serves as sufficient notice of possible entry by the groups mentioned above, into the unit, during a guest’s stay. Scott Lake Resort will make all efforts, if possible, to contact guest(s) prior entry via email. By booking this room, you understand and agree that from time to time, operational staff may need to enter the room without additional notice to perform improvements, maintenance, and services as needed.
In-Room Items:
Please do not move, rearrange, or remove furniture, fixtures, decorative items, or any other items in the room. Everything inside the room belongs to the room. All costs associated with replacing any missing or damaged items will be the financial responsibility of the guests.
Amenities:
Kitchen Appliances & Kitchenware —
Basic kitchenware will be provided for our guests. Exact items may vary, but in general, will include cookware (pots, pans, etc.), cooking utensils, flatware (forks, knives, spoons), drinkware (cups), dishware (plates, etc.), and appliances (stove, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker). Please note that the availability of kitchen items or kitchen appliances in our room may be subject to change from to time due to reasons that are out of our control (previous guest damage, malfunction, theft, etc.), and that replacements may not be readily available during your stay due to the time required for repairs and replacements through our vendors. Any maintenance issues related to kitchen appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave, etc.) that result in the unavailability of these amenities during all or part of a stay will not be grounds for any refunds. While we always try our best to attend to any issues that may arise, we do not recommend any guests where the kitchen is a crucial part of the stay, to book this suite.
Purpose of Stay:
This listing is intended for guests whose purpose of the stay is to reside within the room for a short term stay (less than 30 days). Booking this suite for commercial or hobbyist photography and videography of any sort is prohibited. There are no exceptions to this Unit Rule, unless permission has been explicitly given by Scott Lake Resort to the guest in writing, via email, in advance of the booking confirmation. Any booking that is made for such purposes without prior approval from Scott Lake Resort will be subject to cancellation per the Strict Cancellation policy, with no refund. Rental of this room for any commercial purposes without the explicit, written approval from Scott Lake Resort via email is strictly prohibited.
Cleaning:
Cleaning upon checkout (1 cleaning) is already included in your booking. Units are prepped prior to arrival and cleaned upon your departure. There is NO daily maid service. If you would like to include this in your stay, there will be a $50 fee per cleaning. We require a 7 day advance if you would like to use this service. Please note, upon request, Housekeeping may not be available and is not guaranteed. We are located in the country and Guests may occasionally encounter small insects (lady bugs, flies, bees and etc.). No refunds given in these instances.
Allergens:
While this listing is a pet-free listing, we do not guarantee the complete absence of animals, from previous guest stays. In accordance to standard policies which allow for accommodation of guests who require the assistance of service animals and the company of emotional support animals, all guests acknowledge that animals may have been present at any time prior to their reservation, from prior guests. Any guests who have any known or unknown allergies or sensitivities to any animals, cleaning agents, detergents, or any other allergens of any kind are advised against booking this room. By booking this listing, guests confirm they do not have any allergies, and agree to not hold Scott Lake Resort accountable for any allergic reactions to allergens they were unaware of prior to booking and entering this listing.
Mid-Stay Cleaning:
Reservations 14 nights or longer require a mid-stay cleaning at $50, for every 7-night increment (14 nights = 1 mid-stay cleaning, 28 nights = 2 mid-stay cleanings, etc.). During the mid-stay cleaning, your room is refreshed, and towels and linens are changed.
Visitors / Additional Guests / Maximum Capacity:
No parties of any kind.
Fish, Golf, Glam, and Country room:
- Maximum capacity of 3 individuals (children or adults) who are allowed to stay in this unit for each reservation.
- Any overnight visitors who are in excess of three (3) total individuals, will be considered a gathering and a party, and is considered a violation of our Unit Rules and Policies. At no time, may there be more than 3 persons total in the room.
- If you have any questions, concerns, or doubts, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Scott Lake Resort via email in advance. We want all our guests to enjoy their time at Scott Lake Resort, but ask that everyone does so responsibly and respectfully.
Beach room:
- Maximum capacity of 4 individuals (children or adults) who are allowed to stay in this unit for each reservation.
- Any overnight visitors who are in in excess of four (4) total individuals, will be considered a gathering and a party, and is considered a violation of our Unit Rules and Policies. At no time, may there be more than 4 persons total in the room.
- If you have any questions, concerns, or doubts, please do not hesitate to reach out to Scott Lake Resort via email in advance. We want all our guests to enjoy their time at Scott Lake Resort, but ask that everyone does so responsibly and respectfully.
Lake Rules:
The following are rules that we ask all our guests and their guests to observe. By moving forward with this booking, Guest agrees to all lake rules. Failure to follow such rules will be subject to either loss of lake access or cancellation of booking per the Strict Cancellation policy, with no refund.
- All guests must be accompanied by guest in the booking. Guest is responsible for their guest’s actions.
- No motor vehicles are permitted on the lake frontage.
- Each Guest may have no more than two guests.
- WARNING: NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY! Guest and their guests swim at their own risk.
- No running, jumping, or diving from the dock area unless from diving board into water.
- No grilling on the gazebo or dock area.
- No standing on the seats & tables on the gazebo or picnic benches.
- No climbing on or hanging off the gazebo.
- Boat slips may be used after first checking with Scott Lake Resort.
- Do not crawl or climb on boats docked in slip areas.
- Any damage to the equipment Etc. will be the responsibility of the Guest on the booking.
- Kayak- $265
- Kayak Paddle – $50
- Paddle Boat – $750
- Lounge Chairs – $225
- Lounge Tables – $75
- Any damage to gazebo – cost of material and labor.
- The lake area is closed to Guests(s) & their guests after 10:00 P.M.
- Area should be kept clean. Guests and their guest will keep area clear of clutter and garbage (cans, plates, bottles, fishing tackle, etc.).
- No fishing shall be done near or on the floating pontoon raft. If hooks do manage to get entangled with the raft or another surface, it is the Guests responsibility to remove the hook immediately.
- No fishing shall be done near docked boats.
- If Kayaks and/or Paddle Boat are used, they are to be returned to same area they were found (between lake and gazebo). Kayaks/Paddle Boat should be locked up after every use. Please note the Paddle Boat is not always available for use.
- Life jackets and floating noodles are stored in the white box OUTSIDE the gazebo. Please return them when they are not in use.
- If fire pit is used, be sure put the fire out when you leave the area. There should be no unattended fires at the fire pit.
Hold Harmless Agreement:
The guest(s) agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Scott Lake Resort LLC & Owner from any and all claims, including those of third parties, arising out of or in any way related the guest(s) use of the premises or the items of personal property provided therein. All guests assume the risk of injury, death or other losses related to any recreational activities or use of the premises and will hold the owner and its agents harmless with respect thereto. You agree to hold Scott Lake Resort LLC & Owners FREE AND CLEAR of any liability or compensation for damage to self or property, resulting from accident, injury, death, illness or loss of enjoyment resulting from weather or inoperable appliances, amenities, and/or equipment.
Unit Rules & Guest Agreement:
By booking this unit, guests agree to follow these Rules, and understand that failure to meet any requirements as outlined in the Rules is grounds for cancellation of a reservation under the Strict Cancellation policy. No refunds will be given for reservations that fail to meet these Rules and requirements.
